At the age of six, he began playing the recorder at a small music school in Morbihan. Three years later, he continued to play the recorder at the Manoir de Trussac, in Vannes, before entering the Conservatoire de Vannes, where he where he studied piano with Marie-Christine Ferlan.

From 2018 to 2021, he studied in the classes of Han Tol in Recorder, Donna Agrell in Baroque Bassoon, Carles Cristobal in Dulcian and Nicola Cumer in Continuous Bass at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis , in Basel, Switzerland. In 2021, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Renaissance-Romanticism.
From 2021 to 2023, he is studying for a Master’s degree in Recorder Performance at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Belgium, in the classes of Frédéric de Roos and Nathalie Houtman.
Fascinated by the history of music, he obtained his Certificate in Music History at the CRR in Nantes, then met Gérard Sutton at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. He continued his research in Music History at the the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland) and then at the Conservatoire Royale de Bruxelles (Belgium).
He takes part in various workshops and master-classes in France, Switzerland and Belgium (Les Flanders, Jean-Pierre Nicolas, The Witches, Claire Michon, Clémence Comte, Evolène Kiener, Julien Martin, Maurice Steger, Sabrina Frey, Erik Bosgraaf, Giovanni Antonini, Giulia Genini, Michael Form, Diego Ares, Jan Van Hoeke, Sigrid T’Hooft). In 2016 and 2018, he participated in the Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstaad (Switzerland) and in the Baroque Academy of the same festival, directed by Maurice Steger.
In September 2023, in parallel with his concert career, he begins a work-study program in a Master’s degree in Communication and Marketing.
Since 2016, he has been giving concerts in aid of RECORDARA to enable the association to carry out its charitable project and illustrate its action in favor of the virtuoso recorder and Early Music.
In December 2018, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, he founded the ensemble La CAMERATA CHIARA, which will perform for the first time in 2019, in Nantes, at the Salon International de Musique Ancienne “Les Polyfolies de la Flûte à bec et son Univers” ( www.recordara.com).

Lute, theorbist and guitarist Benoît Fallai studied with Rolf Lislevand at the CNSM in Lyon. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in 2016, he studied with Hopkinson Smith at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where he became the first lutenist admitted to the master’s degree in improvisation. master of improvisation.
As a continuo player, he collaborates with prestigious ensembles including La Fenice, La Chimera and Les Arts Florissants.
